Cooking in Ragnarok: You Can Predict Your Success

In the Stat Food Guide V1.0, we learned how to do the quest on Ragnarok Cooking, the ingredients and the utensils to collect or buy. Now, we are going to discuss some recommendations on how to increase the success of cooking stat foods.
Most practicing Ragnarok cooks will say that there’s no set formula for predicting success. One online calculator for cooking however tells us how Dex and Luk, and even the previous cooking attempts can increase our success, besides the quality of the utensils that we used, of course.

Here’s the ultra-secret cooking simulator that some of our brethren from Ragnarok refused to share, for fear that we might abuse this. But guess what, after cooking in ragnarok for over 3 months, I have proven that while the results of the simulator are close to reality, they are still an approximation, which can be affected by external factors such as lag or computer speed.
Fillling in the necessary details, and setting the cooking attempts to 500 (you can approximate this by counting the number of cooking kits that you wasted used.

Realistically, we can only put in Professional Cooking Kit as this is the easiest to obtain among the non-NPC sold kits. They make a big difference in cooking success, and harvesting at Orc Field is worth it. Setting the food difficulty level to lvl10 Foodstuff, and the Dex and Luk Stats to 99 each (maybe a Pure Forger Blacksmith). And we get the following results:

We interpret this as:
“With 99 Dex and Luk, and using a Professional Cooking Kit, we can cook level 10 foodstuff after 500 attempts at 45.7% success rate.”
This number is waaay high, believe it. From experience, the usual success rate is 30-40% using home cooking kit, for level 6 foods and below. For level 7-10 foodstuff, when using professional kits, his number barely reaches 45%. Sometimes, successful cooking is frequent, but it all averages out as you cook more.
Goodluck with your cooking endeavors!
