Hello Ragnarok Online Fans! In our section on Ragnarok Interface commands

I mentioned the term Battle Mode (/bm), which is basically something that not all Ragnarok Enthusiasts use, because most of us just use the F9 hotkeys. Battlemode, or using the keyboard to use potions and spam skills in-game has a lot of disadvantages. For one, it prevents a player from chatting properly. If a player is in battlemode and insists on still chatting, he needs to press the enter key twice, as normal chat under the battlemode interface resumes only every after one click on the enter key.

Sounds complicated? To a new player yes, but to those determined to excel in Ragnarok Online enough to reach the hardcore tournament playing mode will have to learn how to use the /bm function soon.

Here are several reasons why:

1. More Potion keys, por pabor! Gone were the days when you only need two hotkeys to assign to potions and in-game rejuvenants. Now you have stat foods, speed potions, awakening or berserk potions, skillpoint rejuvenants, HP potions… etc.

2. More Skills to Spam! New patches, new useful skills. In the ideal Ragnarok world, you can quickly press the F12 (toggles hotkey options) and press the corresponding hotkey before your enemy hits you with the deathblow. In the real RO world, however, lag is the enemy and you need access to ALL skill hotkeys available without going through the F12 option.

3. Must Switch Armors! Along with new elemental and strong neutral skills comes the need for armors that protect us from certain PVP death. I, for one, have over 25 different elemental and defense-increasing armors when I play PVP or guild wars. I choose 5 that I bring during battles and put them in several hotkeys for easy switching.
